πŸ—ΊοΈRoadmap

This page presents the most important past and future features of Chestnut as a timeline, broken down in several named milestones (because it sounds cool).

As you can see, milestones are not sequential but overlap a little bit. The icons πŸ”¨ and βœ… indicate which features are in progress or already implemented, respectively. Next to the name of each milestone, an approximate completion percentage is indicated, or ∞ in the case of milestones that need to be continuously worked on.

Note that this roadmap will change over time, based on funding and community feedback. A strong emphasis is put on building Chestnut together with the community; therefore some features will be added or removed from the roadmap as time goes on.

βœ… Genesis: releasing the game

βœ… 15/07/22: The first commit to Github is made (to a repo then called "treasure-hunt", as the focus wasn't that much on combat yet), development begins.

βœ… July 2022: The core team is formed: founder, lead dev and pixel artist.

βœ… 01/01/23: Chestnut goes live, in alpha version! The game is still very simple, but fully playable, and players start earning their first DAI.

πŸ”¨ Prodigy : Gauntlet events [57%]

βœ… May 2023: Paid Gauntlets are organized, requiring players to purchase a key in the shop. Free gauntlet events continue to be organized in parallel.
